About Nashville Rescue and Restore
We are a coalition of community service organizations, health clinics, churches, law enforcement, government agencies, media professionals, students, teachers, and individuals united in a common mission to eliminate human trafficking in Middle Tennessee through raising community awareness, coordinating assistance to victims, and holding traffickers accountable.
Raising Community Awareness
Through direct outreach and public awareness campaigns, our goal is to help identify, rescue and serve victims of trafficking so that every individual forced, coerced, or fraudulently induced into exploitive work will have the courage and support to come forward and receive the full protection and benefits by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000.
Coordinating Assistance to Victims
By coordinating assistance through local social service organizations, our goal is to help protect and serve victims of trafficking in Middle Tennessee. Such services include emergency housing, food, clothing, medical care, translation, legal services, and psychological care.
Holding Traffickers Accountable
We recognize and value the strategic importance of working directly with local, state, and federal law enforcement. Our common goal is to develop an effective partnership to help identify more victims and hold the traffickers accountable for their crimes.
We work directly with the National Rescue and Restore Campaign initiated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

U.S. Trafficking in Persons Report 2008
Letter from Secretary Condoleezza RiceReleased by the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons
June 12, 2008
"We are pleased that in the seven years since the creation of the Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, the United States and our friends and allies have made important strides in confronting the reality that human beings continue to be bought and sold in the twenty-first century. It has been gratifying to witness the determined governments, human rights and women’s groups, faith-based organizations, and many brave individuals who are dedicated to advancing human dignity worldwide. Trafficking and exploitation plague all nations, and no country, even ours, is immune."--
Secretary Rice, June 4, 2008
